Something on parenting

Sometimes we are very much used to our usual life, we are so much self absorbed and suddenly someone arrives. Someone who demands 24/7 attention, someone who is totally dependent on us. Then just a tea time alone or getting to eat peacefully seems luxury. Doing simple daily household chores becomes a challenge and still we call it a bundle of joy because of that unconditional love, that innocence and that full on entertainment of which we have never thought of.
Sometimes I think it's not just that we raise them or we train them but somewhere we too learn a lot while raising them. The patience, the power to think beyond the self,  power to cope up with uncomfortable situations and the most importantly we have to think dynamically,  rigid thinking never works because kids are dynamic by nature which goes without saying. When we teach something to our tiny tots the question pops up in mind that " do I follow this?" which is the best means of self development.
Being mother, or I say being rewarded by the motherhood is the 24/7 job for some years but what I learn from it is the flexibility in schedule. You have to mould your schedule according to their mood. Off course it is frustrating sometimes but somewhere you get the freedom from the rigidity. It's not that you can't manage to do the things you like but not exactly the way you want. Dealing with parenting challenges takes a lot of mental and emotional energy but that's extremely rewarding as well!
When you get a warm hug of those cute tiny hands around your neck, or a small kiss on your cheek you feel like in heaven..
Raising the kids is not just the duty but the journey of self development and sometimes self expression, sometimes self esteem and sometimes detachment i guess. So let's enjoy it!!
PS :- I am writing this because she is sleeping 😉
